Das Pilzgeflecht, auch Myzelium genannte, spielt eine große Rolle in den Arbeiten der Künstlerin und tauscht als abstraktes oder konkretes Bildmotiv auf. Als Metapher für transgenerationale Vererbungen und das Hervortreten von Dingen aus dem Unterbewusstsein, stehen sie für die Künstlerin für gesellschaftliche Umwandlungsprozesse, denen wir in unserer Zeit gegenüberstehen. Pilze sind die ersten Lebewesen, die nach atomaren Katastrophen organisches Leben an Orte zurückbringen. Eine hoffnungsvolle Art, welche die Widerstandsfähigkeit der Natur zum Ausdruck bringt.
The mushroom network, also known as mycelium, plays a major role in the artist's works. The artist's works and alternates as an abstract or concrete motif. As a metaphor for transgenerational inheritances and the emergence of things from the subconscious, for the artist they represent they stand for the processes of social transformation that we are facing in our time. Mushrooms are the first creatures to bring organic life to organic life back into places after nuclear catastrophes. A hopeful way of expressing the resilience of nature expresses.
Für mich ist Malerei durch ihre Langsamkeit politisch. Sie bildet einen Gegensatz zur Schnelllebigkeit unserer postindustriellen kapitalistischen Gesellschaft. Ihr Unikat-Charakter macht sie wertvoll und sie spricht den ganzen Körper an. Nur in der direkten Begegnung kann sie voll erfasst werden. Ich habe dieses Medium deshalb gewählt, weil es den größten Kontrast zur digitalen Welt darstellt.
For me Painting is political through its slowness and forms a counterpoint to the fast pace of our post-industrial capitalist society. Through it´s singularity it is valuable and can be experienced physically. It speaks to the whole body and can only be fully grasped and experienced in direct encounter. I therefore chose this medium because it represents the greatest contrast to the digital world.
